The Bemellou app is live. You can download it now on the App Store and on Google Play.
If you've been following what we're building, this is the part that comes after the plush.
What the app actually is
Bemellou has always been two halves of one idea. The first half is something you can hold — a Mellou, a soft companion that asks nothing of you. The second half is what opens up once you're ready for more than holding. That second half is the app, and as of today it's in your hands.
Inside, you'll find psychologist-led sessions, short courses you can take at your own pace, practical tools for the moments that get heavy, and a community of people who understand the particular tiredness of looking fine.
It is not therapy, and we won't pretend otherwise. It's the layer before it — the one that's available at 11pm on a Tuesday when booking an appointment feels like more than you can manage.
Why the order matters
Most wellbeing apps begin by asking for effort. Open the app. Log the mood. Keep the streak alive. On the days you most need help, that ask is exactly the thing you can't meet.
We built it the other way round. You start with something physical, something that requires nothing of you at all. The app is there when — and only when — you want the next step. Every Mellou comes with an access code inside the box, and that code unlocks everything above.
If you already have a Mellou, your code still works. Download the app and enter it.
Where to get it
- iOS: Download on the App Store
- Android: Get it on Google Play
Both are free to download.
What we'd ask of you
If you use it and something helps, tell us. If you use it and something doesn't, tell us that too — it's more useful. We're a small team, we read everything, and the app will be better in three months because of what people say in the first three weeks.
And if you're reading this in the quiet middle — not in crisis, not fine either — that's exactly who we built this for. Start with whichever half feels easier. Neither one asks you to explain yourself first.
